10 Games Express



To serve the Paralympic Games in March, BC Transit's fully accessible, low-floor bus fleet will operate at normal winter service levels in Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton.

Service is available on in-town Whistler routes from 5 a.m. until 4 a.m., 7 days a week, serving many Whistler neighbourhoods and Whistler Village. Click here for regular winter service information. Between March 1 and 21, the 10 Games Express will also run every 15 minutes between 5 a.m. and midnight. The Games Express connects Whistler Village, Creekside, and Athletes Village. March 1 to 21, some route diversions will continue to be in effect for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games:

1 Creekside Express and 2 Whistler Creek will not route through Creekside Village on London Lane, but will travel along Hwy. 99 with a stop at Lake Placid Road and Hwy. 99.

3 Emerald Estates, 4 Alpine Village, 43 Alpine/Emerald Combined and 23 Alta Lake Shuttle will travel to and from Gondola Transit Exchange via Lorimer, Northlands and Village Gate.

Fares and passes

Remember that Paralympic event tickets include complimentary access to public transit on in-town Whistler routes on the day of your event until 4 a.m. the next morning.

Accredited Paralympic personnel have complimentary access to public transit in Whistler from March 1 through 21. Paralympic accreditation is not valid on the Squamish or Pemberton connector service, or the local Squamish and local Pemberton public transit service.

Getting to your venue

Spectators are encouraged to take transit while in Whistler. Public transit in Whistler is open to everyone: residents, visitors, Paralympic ticket holders, volunteers and workforce can all ride the BC Transit system.

To Creekside:

From Whistler Village, take the 10 Games Express, 1 Creekside Express, or 2 Whistler Creek from the Gondola Transit Exchange in Whistler Village or from bus stops along Highway 99. Limited public parking is also available at Creekside.

From Vancouver, drive or take a commercial carrier to Whistler Paralympic Park’s spectator parking lots at the base of Callaghan Valley Road. From here, you can take VANOC’s Paralympic Alpine Express to the venue.

To Whistler Paralympic Park:

There is no BC Transit service to this venue, VANOC provides this service.

From Whistler, take BC Transit to Day Lot 4 in Whistler Village. From here, take VANOC’s Whistler Paralympic Park Express to the venue.

From Vancouver, drive or take a commercial carrier to Whistler Paralympic Park’s spectator parking lots at the base of Callaghan Valley Road. From here, take designated shuttles to the venue.

To the Medals Plaza:

All routes travelling to Whistler Village can drop you within a short walking distance to the Medal’s Plaza.

Parking

As of March 1, Day Skier Lots 1, 2 and 3 will reopen for public parking. The remaining Day Lots, Creekside and the Whistler Conference Centre lots will be unavailable until April 4. Consider ridesharing or transit.
